Everton is the Financial Administrator for the Innovation Center for Biomedical Informatics (ICBI). He is responsible for ICBI’s overall financial operations and manages the pre and post award activities for sponsored accounts. Additionally, he oversees the annual personnel effort certification for the Center and supervises the financial management of all operating funds. Through financial analysis, he monitors revenue and expense trends in order to prevent budget shortfall and implements controls to prevent budget variances. Mr. Batista also works with the ICBI’s Director and Director of Operations in the development of the annual budget.
Prior to ICBI, Mr. Batista served as the Business Operations Manager for Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, where he worked with the Director of Finance in overseeing the financial operations of the Executive Education department. He also played a key role in implementing Workday as a financial system for Georgetown University.
Mr. Batista holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Finance (MBA) from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Commerce from Hampden-Sydney College, where he graduated cum laude. He is fluent in English and Portuguese.
In his spare time, he rides his motorcycle, works on classic cars and trains for tri-Athlon competitions.
