Dr. Rosen is a board certified medical physicist with corporate level experience in national and international settings, with an entrepreneurial background involving regulatory oversight and financial responsibilities. He presently serves as the Vice-President of Technical Management for a division of MedStar Health, the largest healthcare organization in the Washington-Baltimore region. He has a background in Radiation Oncology Medical Physics, as well as Diagnostic X-ray, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation Safety. He has served as the Radiation Safety Officer on numerous radioactive materials licenses [New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia], has been a co-owner and General Manager of a Free-Standing Radiation Oncology Center, and has served as a subject matter expert for particle therapy center issues.
Dr. Rosen has served on review panels for NCI, and has a background in medical physics consulting [both domestically and internationally], and as a medical physicist in University settings [Georgetown, Bowman-Gray] and Community Hospital settings [INOVA Fairfax Hospital, St. Barnabas Medical Center]. He has served as the Treasurer for the New Jersey Medical Physics Society and the President of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine. Dr. Rosen was a member of AAPM Task Group 6, which published Magnetic Resonance Imaging Acceptance Testing. Dr. Rosen previously served as an ad hoc reviewer for Medical Physics and Physics in Medicine and Biology.
