Rebecca Fuchs MS was a Research Intern at ICBI in 2019 under the supervision of Dr. Yuriy Gusev. She performed exploratory research on Brain Cancer gene expression analysis using machine learning to categorize and predict outcome. She is currently Bioinformatics Scientist at Essex Management

Jiahao Huang, MS was a Data Analyst and Informatics Intern at ICBI under Dr. Peter McGarvey in 2019. He is now Associate Computational Biologist at Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard

Payal Banerjee MS was a Student Research Intern at ICBI under the supervision of Dr. Yuriy Gusev in 2015 . She is now Bioinformatics Analyst at Children’s National Health System

Linlin Luo MS was a Student Research Intern at ICBI under the supervision of Dr. Yuriy Gusev in 2015. She is now a Data Scientist at AstraZeneca

Rashi Modi MS was a Bioinformatics Intern at ICBI under the supervision of Dr. Yuriy Gusev in 2014. She is now Senior Product Manager at Medidata Solutions.

Lin An MS was a Bioinformatics Intern at ICBI in 2013-2014. He is now Computational Biologist at Sanofi

Prabhdeep Cheema MS was a Bioinformatics Intern at ICBI in 2013-2014. He is now Sr. Field Service Engineer at AB SCIEX

Salendra Singh MS was a Bioinformatics Intern at ICBI in 2012-2013. He is now Lead Bioinformatics Analyst/Programmer at Case Western Reserve University

Aditya Ganju PhD, was a MS student Summer Intern at ICBI under the supervision of Dr. Yuriy Gusev in 2011. After completing his PhD, he is now a Research Scholar at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Abhishek Pandey, MD, MS was an MD/MS student at Georgetown University. He worked a Bioinformatics Data Analyst Intern at ICBI in 2011- 2012 under the supervision of Dr. Subha Madhavan. He analyzed clinical and multi-omic (i.e. genomic, transcriptomic, metabolomic) data from Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC) patient cohorts. He is currently a Physician at Langone Health and works with Healthcare Product Management and Early-stage Investing

Alfreda Johnson, B.A. served as the Innovation Center for Biomedical Informatics (ICBI) Department Administrator from October 2010 to May 2015.  Alfreda created an operations manual that includes detailed administrative and finance policies for ICBI.  As a result, she streamlined the procurement and procedural process for various department activities.

Anca Dragomir, Ph.D. served as the epidemiologist for the Breast and Colon Cancer Family Registries Project (BCCFR), a large NCI contract awarded to ICBI that ended in 2012.  She is an assistant professor in the Department of Oncology, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Biomathematics at Georgetown. Anca is very active in the Master of Science program in Biostatistics by teaching graduate Epidemiology classes and mentoring graduate students.

Andrea Barbo, M.S.  was a Research Associate with ICBI after finishing her master’s degree in Biostatistics at Georgetown.  She went on work as a Statistical Analyst at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and currently is a Biostatistician at Yale/YNHH Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE)

Andrew Shinohara, M.S. worked at ICBI as a Software Engineer on contract through Pointed Logic Solutions where he was Partner.   He helped to develop G-DOC and also architected data analysis pipelines and applications for next-generation sequencing data.  He is currently the Head of Engineering at InVitae in San Francisco, CA. 

David Tannenbaum, Ph.D. worked with the Clinical Informatics Group (predecessor to ICBI) on contract from ESAC, Inc. where he was Director of Bioinformatics.  He is currently the Department Head, Clinical Quality & Informatics at MITRE, McLean, VA

Erin Hedlund, Ph.D. was Assistant Research Faculty at Georgetown University and worked in the Clinical Informatics Group (predecessor to ICBI) as a data scientist.   She is currently a Bioinformatics Research Scientist at St. Jude’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Kevin Rosso, M.S. worked at ICBI as a Software Engineer on contract through Pointed Logic Solutions where he is Partner.  He helped to develop G-DOC and other web portals, and helped manage cloud storage and computing.  He is currently COO and a software consultant for Pointed Logic Solutions, and works as a Sr. Software Engineer at Clarity Business Solutions Inc.

Laura Sheahan, PhD served as a project manager and technical writer at Enterprise Science and Computing (ESAC Inc.) on contract at Georgetown University with the Innovation Center for Biomedical Informatics (ICBI).  She also contributed to proposal writing, manuscript development, and other scientific writing projects within ICBI. She is currently a Merit Review Officer at Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute ( PCORI )

Lavinia A. Carabet. M.S. was a Bioinformatics Software Engineer for the predecessor of ICBI, the Clinical Informatics group at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center working on the first release of the Georgetown Database of Cancer.  She is currently a Ph.D. student at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.

Lizeida Feuillebois, M.S. – Global Health was a Financial Analyst at ICBI.  She played an integral part in ICBI’s ability to provide efficient and relevant services through her budget preparations, compliance and trend analysis.  She is currently the Financial Administrator for the Department of Biostatistics, Biomathematics and Bioinformatics and for the Center of Drug Discovery at Lombardi Cancer Center, Georgetown University Medical Center.

Robinder Gauba, M.S. was Biostatistician and Bioinformatics Analyst at ICBI working on the development of computational infrastructure to implement NGS based data processing and analysis pipelines for the Center. He’s currently a Business and Product Head at Girnar Soft Inc, and Founder, Chief AI & Data Scientist at MakeRobos Innovation Labs

Thanemozhi G. Natarajan, Ph.D. worked as a research scientist within ICBI for two years and remains an adjunct faculty member.  She  is currently a Sr. Clinical Genomics Scientist at Ashion Analytics

Varun Singh, M.S. was a software engineer at ICBI with more than seven years of experience in software development and IT consulting. His interests are in utilizing his software development experience and bioinformatics education to create novel solutions to overcome challenges faced by clinicians and doctors dealing with healthcare issues. He is currently a Manager of Software Engineering (AI) at Capital One

Victor Clarke, M.S. was a Database Administrator within ICBI assisting investigators with Cohort Discovery. Victor currently works for MedStar Health Corporate within their Quality & Safety division as a Data & Analytics Manager.  He is establishing and managing a quality and safety database to streamline MedStar-wide reporting to include data from CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network and Core Measures among others. He’s currently a Business Intelligence Data Architect at Medstar Health.

Everton Batista, MBA. Was a senior Financial Analyst at ICBI.  He played an important role in ICBI’s ability to provide efficient and relevant services through budget preparations, compliance, and trend analysis. He’s currently a Senior Financial Analyst at Universal Service Administrative Co (USAC)

Maki Nishida, PhD was a Postdoctoral Researcher at ICBI. She now works at Medtronic Inc in Tokyo, Japan

Lei Song, MS was a Bioinformatics Analysist at ICBI working on integration of various multi-omics data, analysis of copy number alterations. He currently works as a Researcher in the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics, National Cancer Institute, National Institute of Health, Bethesda, MD

Michael Harris, MS was the Technical Director of Bioinformatics at ICBI. He is currently a Senior Informatics Scientist at National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)

Shaojun Tang, PhD was an Assistant Professor of Bioinformatics at ICBI. His research primarily focused on the development of tools and methods for the analysis of cancer immunotherapy data, including breast cancer and melanoma datasets. He is currently working at Novartis in New Jersey.

Philippa Counter, MPH was a Program Specialist at ICBI From 2016-2018. She is now Social Media Consultant at Bonfire

Melissa Holyfield, MPA was a Program Specialist at ICBI From 2018-2019. She is now Human Resources Generalist at Trident Maritime Systems

Brian Conkright MS was Research Associate II at ICBI from 2013-2017. He provided statistical, technical, and data management support for biomedical research projects in the areas of cancer genomics, population genetics, and retrospective electronic health record (EHR) studies. He is now Senior Data Scientist at ALG, A TrueCar Company.

Rong Liu MS was a Clinical Informatics Associate at ICBI from 2015-2017. She provided technical support for developing and implementing efficient and effective information technology solutions for clinical trial management system.

Difei Wang, PhD was a Research Assistant Professor at ICBI from 2012-2014. He is now Research Assistant Professor at Dept of Biochemistry & Molecular and Cellular Biology at Georgetown University

Vishakha Sharma, PhD was a Post Doc Fellow and Data Scientist Researcher at ICBI from 2016-2018 working in the area of Human Factors. She is now Principal Data Scientist at Genentech, member of the Roche group.

Shruti Rao MS, MBA was a Research Program Manager and Research instructor at ICBI from 2012-2021. She is now Project Manager of Precision Biomarker Labs at Cedars-Sinai
