Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) launched the Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) in 2011 to accelerate the understanding of the molecular basis of cancer through the application of robust, quantitative, proteomic technologies and workflows.

The CPTAC Data Coordinating Center serves as the hub and central repository for all data from the Proteome Characterization Centers (PCCs). All PCC awardees upload their data from discovery through to verification efforts. The data produced from the Consortium is then made publicly available to the entire scientific community. The Data Coordinating Center is managed and operated by the certified small business E-SAC located in Rockville, MD with scientific expertise provided by the Georgetown ICBI.
