Maki Nishida, PhD

Maki Nishida is a Postdoctoral Fellow whose research involves sequencing data analysis obtained from cancer cells and biological samples. This research is geared towards the discovery of cancer genomics and familial disease. Other research areas include protein structure study and data mining of disease studies.     

Prior to joining ICBI, she worked for a biomedical research company where she conducted research on the development of new cancer treatments using nanocomplexes as well as DNA analysis on clinical trial samples. 

She received a Ph.D. in Physics with a focus in Optics from Georgetown University.
